Let’s all say a huge congratulations to Treasure! She’s officially a high school graduate! We recently captured her Studio House senior portraits in McKinney, TX and I’m equally obsessed with this studio and Treasure’s portraits. If you’ve never been to the Studio House, it’s a dream come true for photographers. The building is 100+ years old and has been converted into a studio for rent. It’s got beautiful natural light, porches on both the front and back of the house, and perfect setups inside. Treasure and I had a great time exploring while celebrating her big achievement!

Studio House Senior Portraits

If I’m being honest, Treasure reminded me of Beyonce. She was just seriously gorgeous the entire session and her model face was on point, the whole time! It was a little unfair, truthfully! She brought three outfits for her portraits. We started with the traditional cap and gown photos every senior (okay, senior’s parents) love. Then we moved into her casual look. Her white jeans were super cute and worked perfectly against the Studio House! Finally, she put on her favorite black dress. She looked so gorgeous – this girl knows her fashion and how to use her model face. I’m so jealous. I didn’t look that great as a senior! Heck, I don’t look that great now! Treasure was honestly so mature and poised our whole session. I loved this chance to get to know her a little bit better.

I absolutely love photographing senior portraits. They’re like little mini bridal sessions, which is really fun. All of the seniors I’ve worked with are simply amazing. When I get to talk to them and see them open up, it’s all so worth it. Capturing senior portraits is truly about documenting their personalities and who they are at this moment, on the edge of something so big! And as much as we focus on the serious shot, it’s always a great time getting them to open up and laugh with me.

I can’t say it enough: senior sessions are just so much fun! Enjoy this look into Treasure’s session. Congratulations again, Treasure!
