You might recognize Allison and Kent from their Katy Trail engagement session. We photographed their engagement portraits just two days before their wedding day this April. It was a whirlwind weekend (probably more for them than me!), but it was amazing to be able to be part of their celebration. Allison and Kent have been long distance for most of their relationship so I could just feel the relief rolling off of them throughout their wedding day because this was the start of the next chapter of their lives – together.
Dallas TX Wedding Ceremony
Allison and Kent kept things traditional with no first look before their church ceremony. They had a full mass and it was just beautiful!! I’m still in awe of the gorgeous stained glass throughout the church. It was truly a perfect backdrop for them to say their vows. Allison and Kent made it clear to me early on that they wanted to use the church for many of their portraits after the ceremony and I think we lucked out. They had some super cute spots around the building that we were able to use for their portraits. And I loved that they chose to have Kent’s kids in the wedding party. His sons stood with him and his daughter, with Allison, along with some of her friends. It was such a special way to bring their family together!
Intimate Wedding Reception
After their ceremony and portraits, we headed over to the Dallas Addison Marriott. It was actually a last minute choice for them but I think it all came together beautifully! One thing I really love about Allison and Kent is that they made their wedding celebration about them – and the things they love. Her former students came to celebrate, and they only did the dances and things they wanted. They chose to have a first dance and cut their wedding cake but the rest of the time was just spent with their guests. And enjoying their delicious risotto bar!
Congratulations Allison and Kent! Your Dallas wedding was truly something special and I’m honored you chose me to capture this big step in your lives together. I wish you both so much love and happiness!!
