I’ve been there – bare and vulnerable
I got you because I get you. I’ve been on the other side of the camera experiencing the long laundry list of complex emotions and insecurities.
Four months postpartum, I had my own boudoir session. Did I feel like I was ready? Nope. Did I go in completely accepting my body as is? Ummm...no. Did I think I was in the running for a Victoria Secret’s catalogue? That’s a resounding “Nope!”
But by putting myself out there and pushing way past my comfort zone, I discovered something new – someone new. I rediscovered myself.
I saw myself as more than just a wife, a caregiver, a woman putting everyone else’s needs ahead of mine. I saw the real me again.
To me, boudoir is about so much more than those steamy pics (though you’re definitely getting those! Bow chicka bow wow!). It’s about seeing past the mirror, past the judgments, past the societal roles. It’s about remembering who you are as a person – your own individual, strong, empowered self.
