Every couple knows they’re meant to be together when they get married. They KNOW it! Can feel it deep in their bones, in the very chemistry that makes them who they are. Their cells have been percolating, waiting to be teamed up with their perfect counterparts.

Sometimes, they’re the only ones who feel it, the only ones rooting for their marriage, the only ones on their own side.

Sometimes, EVERYONE can feel it! With some couples, anyone who interacts with them knows it, can sense it, and believes it with their whole hearts!

When I was at Amanda and Jasper’s wedding at the beautiful Aristide venue in Mansfield, Texas, I was completely blown away when no fewer than 7 people insisted, demanded, and fought over the right to tell the happy couple how strongly they trust in their love!

7 people. One for each of the years they’ve been together.  Family – both by blood and by choice – and friends.

One after the other

Back to back to back, over and over again, loved ones telling Amanda and Jasper how staunchly they believe that these two are meant to be together. That their whole lives have been leading up to this moment and this day.

That all the hardship, and struggles, and bad relationships, and trials they had lived through separately…were all worth it, because it brought them together, because they are now bound and united.

Forever joined.

I’ve been blessed to know Amanda and Jasper for longer than the normal photographer-client relationship! I met her in one of my music theory classes at the University of North Texas (Go Mean Green!), and while we may not have become fast friends (she terrified me, with her baggy pants and chains and sassy confidence!), we definitely became good friends! We got each other through that theory class, then the next one, and the next, all the way until she was a bridesmaid at my own wedding, 8 years ago! I got to meet Jasper a few years later, and having known them apart and together, I can attest first hand how strong and enduring they are!

You guys, I’m over the moon that you FINALLY tied the knot (again, it’s been 7 years!), and that  you chose me to be your photographer! I’m honored to be your friend, and I loved getting to be a part of your special day! I can’t wait to see where life takes you next, but I know that wherever you go, you’ll be together. Hand in hand. United, forever.
