Congratulations to Taylor and Tanner! Every once in awhile, a wedding day comes along that I know I was just meant to be a part of… and this was one of those celebrations. Because of COVID-19, Taylor and Tanner had to reschedule their wedding. The day they got married was the ONLY one their venue had available for the year and they jumped on it. Their photographer couldn’t make it work but recommended me and just 5 weeks before their wedding day, they booked me. And I’m so glad they did. Taylor and Tanner are super sweet and their Hidden Waters wedding day in Waxahachie, Texas was sooooo beautiful! I can’t wait for you to see it.
Hidden Waters Wedding Day
One thing I absolutely loved about Taylor and Tanner’s wedding was simply how emotional the day was. Although it was full of so many fun moments, like Taylor’s champagne toast with her bridesmaids, there was definitely a lot of quiet and sweet moments to go around. Taylor decided to have a first look with her grandfather on her wedding day. I’m still not sure who was most emotional out of the three of us there!
Afterwards, she met with Tanner for their first look and it was just beautiful! Both of them cried and they decided to read their private vows to each other during that time. They took the standard vows in their wedding ceremony. But, I love that they had a little moment together to share their personal thoughts and promises. I’m so honored I could be there to document it for them!
When I look back at Taylor and Tanner’s wedding portraits, I’m reminded of so many couples who come to me nervous for their wedding day and photos. I’m pretty sure every couple I’ve worked with has told me how nervous they are for portraits – and I get it! I really do. It’s a big spotlight on you on one of the biggest days of your lives. But that’s why it’s so fun! No matter how long I’ve known my clients, I work with them to pose and prompt so that they feel comfortable the entire day with me. Now, when I look at portraits of a couple like Taylor and Tanner who literally met me on their wedding day, I feel happy seeing how in love and relaxed they looked all day long!
