I’m thrilled to be sharing Deandra’s maternity session with you today! I absolutely love working with this beautiful lady and capturing her Dallas Arboretum maternity session was such an honor. I’ve worked with Deandra and her husband Ryan a few times before this, including their engagement portraits, and I can’t explain how much it means that they trust me over and over again to capture their special moments. Deandra and Ryan are expecting a little girl and so when she reached out about maternity portraits, I couldn’t wait to start planning!
Dallas Arboretum Maternity Session
Deandra is a fellow photographer (and gym teacher!) so I knew her maternity portraits were going to be special. We decided on the Dallas Arboretum for her portraits, which wound up being the perfect spot! The Arboretum is one of my favorite places for photo sessions because there’s just so many beautiful locations and options. The day of her maternity session was actually during the tulip festival, so it was extra gorgeous there!
Like most of the mamas I work with, I recommend that Deandra plan for two looks during her session. We decided to rent a gorgeous form fitting gown from Mom2B for the first part of her session. I loved this more glamorous look – and it was a perfect chance to capture Deandra’s stunning “model face”! Afterwards, she changed into a more casual pink dress that was a great option to end our session. Deandra was incredible our entire time together – never complaining as we walked all over the Arboretum to find my favorite spots. And through it all she looked amazing! I was so jealous, ha!!
