groom kisses bride's forehead during portraits at Stone Hall at the Springs

After I met Alison and Marc during their consultation, I knew that these amazing (self-proclaimed) geeks were going to have a wedding day to remember. And, I was right. Alison and Marc planned a gorgeous Stone Hall at the Springs wedding day that was one of my favorite weddings to date for so many reasons. But, mostly it was amazing because it was just so much FUN. Throughout the whole wedding planning process, they stayed true to who they are as people and what matters to them – and as a result, their day was a joy to photograph.

When we were photographing their engagement session, I realized two things about Alison and Marc. First is that they’re nerds, like me, and I am so glad I know them because of that fact alone. Second, they are creative and really fun people. So, when Alison and Marc began to share more about their wedding day plans, I couldn’t wait for their celebration to come. As soon as I arrived to photograph their prep, I could feel the excitement in the air! When Alison and Marc met for their first look, I have to admit I was a little emotional watching two people so clearly meant to be together!!

Stone Hall at the Springs Wedding Day

I absolutely loved Alison and Marc’s wedding because they took the chance to make it really unique to them. One of my favorite parts was that their dog, Stein, was a ring bearer! Honestly, I’d be really okay if more couples brought their pups to their weddings!! I think it’s super sweet and I love people including their fur babies in such a special moment. Stein is such a handsome boy and he was the perfect ring bearer, carrying Alison and Marc’s custom designed rings down the aisle.

The other really special thing about Alison and Marc’s wedding day that was super fun and unique was their wedding reception! Instead of a traditional wedding reception with dancing and partying, Alison and Marc had a board game bar. Guests could choose board games to take back to their table and play. They also had a huge screen that their guests could join in for trivia on. It was SO much fun and the perfect way to bring their love of board games into play (pun totally intended) on their special day.

Alison and Marc, congratulations! Thank you for letting a geek like me be a part of your special celebration. I know you’re going to have such a wonderful life together. I’m honored I could be there with you as you said “I do” and I am so excited for you both!
